Hi all.

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-30 - 10:55:56

Chest infection and general malaise keeping me from the 'puter. Been sleeping and watching tv, avoiding contact with human life. Good job littl'un is easily entertained and husband used to me being in bed at the weekends.

Feeling better now, but am off for a snooze as soon as I have written this.

Have a good day everyone.

Had a lie in

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-25 - 10:38:27

Third day of hols and up at 7m to iron a shirt then straight back to bed. got up half an hour ago and guess where i have been. Thats right, here with you lot.

Feeling a bit better though didn't actually sleep much, cough has gone all expectorant and green. Today I am going to clear out my dining room, the current dumping ground, will spend as much time as I can manage before getting tired and then have a nap. Luckily Littl'un is easily occupied so I might even get a cat nap.

Have a fine day wherever you are, esp to all my friends on the ether.

Took a long walk

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-24 - 18:14:20

to my local 'castle' which is about 20 minutes from my house at my pace. The sun was shining and I felt good having made a selfish decision not to visit my family in Portsmouth this half term.

Part of this is PMT induced and 'cos my chest is tight and I feel wrecked. I would be dangerous on the road. I am also more vulnerable to saying what I think and I have a lot to say to my family that is best not said. I am intolerant and downright miserable. SOoooo A walk with dog and daughter in the winter son is just what the doctor ordered, much easier with that weight off my mind.

It wwas fabulous. All the leaves are beginning to fall and there is plent of mud around. There was breeze creating that lovely wind in the trees sound and daughter had a great time getting covered in mud, splashing in pudles. Had a nap when I got back and now have neckache, and the ususal back pains are back, but otherwise, darn good.:D

Sitting in with brandy in hand tonight watching some bad TV, if there is any, LOL:D

Torchwood was great.

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-24 - 13:18:21

Wasn't around on Sunday night to see comment about Torchwood, but I thought it was great. Looking forward to watching it regularly along with the new Robin Hood who I don't find attractive, but the series seems to be good.

I've not watched so much TV for ages.

Hi everyone

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-21 - 09:00:57

Not popped in for a few days. Been working nights and been doing that clutter clearing thing that I started ages ago. Actually getting somewhere now.

Saw my Nephew (AKA No1 son) and girfriend yesterday, and she is looking good. Due to give birth in the next four weeks though they may have to induce labour due to the baby not moving much.

I don't feel so angry now and am hopeful things will be ok for them both.

No 1 son has quit college and got a temporary job and is looking for a permanent one. No2 son also working at last and loving it. He is laying paths at the moment.

So most things good in life, just me looking to change my job now as the current one is beginning to suck in all sorts of ways and job satisfaction has gone.

Catching up

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-18 - 10:00:33

Had a great weekend. Sold a load of stuff at Matlock Lights and the followed through with a car boot sale on Sunday, where I sold a load of my junk pile. I gave the rest away on Freecycle yesterday so all the boxes are gone.

Unfortunatly woke up with a mega migraine on Monday morning and took all day Monday and Tuesday for it to clear. HAd to stay in bed for two whole days and nights near enough, unable to eat or move without throwing up. Still muggy headed and won't be on here long now.

Glad to catch up with everyone. Going for a nap and will check in later.

Quick hello

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-14 - 09:23:05

Popping in for a quickie again as off to Matlock Illuminations this afternoon, have to pack all my stuff first.

Had a meal with old friends last night, one I hadn't seen for five years, but looks no different apart from having 2 kids she didn't have before.

It's so good just to sit and natter about old times.

One of them, C, who I see pretty regularly is heading for a divorce. Her relationship with her husband is very bad and the children are suffering. Not in a physical way, but through bed wetting etc. Very sad to see. Hope it is over quickly and things settle down for them all soon.

LLLC in the chocolate factory.

Son No1 had an interview at Thorntons yesterday for packing chocs. My dream job. I sat in the reception looking at some beautifully presented chocs, salivating.

I managed to sneak one off the counter on the way out, bliss. Pure chocolate heaven.

Came down off my cloud when weighed at WW and foung to have put on 1.5 pounds. That will teach me to eat chocolate and drink beer.

Better luck next week.

Spiders webs

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-13 - 09:58:25

It's spider central in my garden this morning, bushes covered and glittering with their webs. Nice and misty too, love this time of year, at least occasionally.

Glad to be boring

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-10 - 08:15:47

Spent yesterday catching up on jobs.
Need to buy work shoes and go to work tonight so will be spending half the time in bed. Catch up with you all later.

Back again

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-09 - 09:30:37

Had a lovely weekend in Yorkshire, sleeping mostly, and a little trip to Filey and Driffield, all within a short distance of where we were staying.
We stayed at a lovely spot in the middle of no where. The place is a B and B and has cottages and lovely grounds. The people who own it also run a farm and have part ownership of a brewery and a pub. All very good and th beer is fine.
We went last year as a family so we knew what we were getting.
Glad to be back though. Missed littl'un and of course came back to the mess I left behind plus some from the in laws who are not too tidy themselves. Back to normal now. School run completed and time to write a little.

Catch you all later.

Anothr flying visit.

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-06 - 15:10:37

Off for the weekend, just been keeping up with comments but won't e able to engage properly until Monday when I am back from my weekend away with His LOrdship in Yorkshire.

Have a fab weekend, look forward to catching up on Monday.

Feeling better and lighter

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-06 - 15:07:48

Well, nearly over my cold. Still headachy.
Lost 1.5 lb at Weightwatchers last night, never thought I would see the day when I would cope with counting point and win.

Dropping in before falling over

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-04 - 16:23:46

Had alickle cold for a few days but was able to kep going, but now my chest is hurting and I ache all over. Got a big headache. If I am quiet a few days don't worry, just kipping.

Another drop in session

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-04 - 10:54:08

Been working and sleeping the last few days. Not sleeping well, but not really tired. Finished my third night last night and should be asleep now, but feel wide awake.
I think its because work is challenging me for the first time in ages, sadly due to short staffing. A manager visited my ward in the day yesterday because of a complaintand saw what it was like and has authorised people to cover short handed shifts.
Sunday night we had a really poorly lad who had to go to theatre, Monday a really poorly bloke who needed intensive care but was actually dying, and last night he died peacefully with us holding his hands and wishing him peace. He fought for a week and his family were unable to be with him.
Makes me sad to think that they couldn't be there but it was not their fault.
So now I am off from work until next Tuesday and am lunching each day with a friend and going away on Friday to Sunday with my husband. I have loads of stuff to do too but am not stressing, feel very mellow after the last few nights. Just gonna make a list and work through it.
Right, off to bed for a few hours then lunch.

Checking in

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2006-10-01 - 09:36:31

Hi all,
Hope you all had a good day yesterday. I did, though not profitable (money wise) I spent it with friends.
In the morning my friend and and I put up her shelves from Ikea. It should have been straight forward but we still managed to do everything wrong. Eventually the shelves were up and thy look great.
The rest of the day was spent with J, my business partner of sorts. She and I have our own separate endeavors but get together to share selling spots and support each other. It is a great friendship. We were at Matlock Bath for the lights and firworks. We did this last year and did reasonably well, but this year not so good as there was a charge to get in and when the tickets had gone, people were turned away.

Matlock Bath sits in a bend of the river derwent at the bottom of a valley with high sides. The fireworks were blasted from the top so they were quite dramatic.

I bought a russian doll from another stall for my littl'un. I always wanted one, should ahve except money is tight. There are 10 dolls in this one and the smallest is so tiny it is only a few mm tall, yet painted just as nicely.
