Walk

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2007-11-25 - 22:39:45

Yes I did. Went with my conservation friends including Mil and Fil plus stopover girl for a 3 mile walk around Biggin by Hartington in the Peak Park. had a lovely time as it was not hard work. Now a year or two ago it would have killed me so I am v. happy.

I was very mellow when I got back only to be irritated intesely by No 1 son. HIS son was 1 on Friday we were supposed to be getting a visit from the birthday boy on Saturday. Now it didn't happen becasue the Son No 1 and his girlfriend B were splitting up. After this she went home and got kicked out for saying she didn't want a parental role and so today she needs somwhere to stay and wants to go to Mil house.

Now MiL has a kind soul and usually says yes. She has been so upset by this though that she said no, with my and husbands support. This is the first day she has felt really well in weeks and she needs to rest to make sure she stays that way. We were hoping for a visit from BB today but of course that was out of the window.

B has found a friends couch to sleep on and is going to move in with her cousin in a weeks time,so she tells us. I expect she will be back at her mums soon enough.

Right, rant over. Going to sell stuff at my friends on Tuesday to Thursday but have to get it up there tomorrow in between college and a conservation meeting. You may not hear from me for a little while.

Keep well all :D

A quiet moment

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2007-11-25 - 00:53:56

Catching a few moments to have peace. it's been like a fair at my house today with people dropping in and off out again. Luckily in a fairly good mood all day though pushed a bit by No 2 son who has been away for 3 weeks visiting his real parents and got back with attitude on Thursday.

Littl'un is having a friend to stay over and is asleep now after video and popcorn and lots of play. We are all going on a walk around Hartington tomorrow with my conservation friends, weather permitting.

Just joined Facebook, called bookface by my FiL and BookTube by another friend. Had a bit of fun with it but no time to really right now. My MiL was on there first, cool silver surfer that she is. She has had a few bad attacks of labyrinthitis over the last few weeks and is feeling better now. She only slows down for as long as she has to and then she is back in the saddle again.

I will keep popping in of course but only for short periods until Christmas is over. I wan't be able to move far after all the partying and pies. Keep well all :D

Busy again

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2007-11-19 - 09:03:14

Hi all,

I have been busy again and still having difficulty getting in to read everyone's blog and post.

So what have I been up to?

Went to a wholesalers in Manchester on Friday. took MiL along but she had an attack of labyrinthitis while in the shop and eneded up being sick and having to lie on the floor for an hour. Took her to her mums who luckily lives 1o miles away from the warehouse.
Should have been back for 6 but eneded up back at 9. lttl'un missed her first night at cubs.

Saturday I spent 6 hours cleaning the in laws kitchen. They have been away a lot or busy or ill, and the place had got too much for MiL. She comes back today, hope she likes it.

Sunday was a foul day weather wise as you all know, and I was at a craft and gift fair selling my wares. needless to say I didn't sell much.

Now its Monday and college all day. Will try and pop in later.

{{{{{{{Hugs to all Monday haters}}}}}}}}} :D

Life is speeding by again

by loveslifeloveschocolate @ 2007-11-15 - 00:35:15

So dropping inagain to update on bits and bobs.

Just had a nice night at storytelling where Robert Greygrass http://www.greygrass.org/ a native American storyteller came and told contempory and traditional stories and gave us little chinks into his life. Most excellent.

I have seen Inuit and him this year and they all seem to have a much more natural earth loving approach to life and people. We could learn a lot.

Update on MIL. Well, they found her bag before the garage did any work to change locks. She got her car keys and house keys back. The garage had told her some story about needing to replace all lock and an elecronic unit as well as work hours, coming up t a massive total becasue sthey couldn't get a spare key then they send off for a spare key so they can get into the car to change the locks????? anyway, they now have 2 car keys and MIL is releived.

Gran in law is also ok though she had another fall this week.

Had a load of dental work done today, I have to have my gums numbed so I can have my teeth cleaned. I was really shaky after coming out of the dentist and had to sit down for 15 minutes before I could get into the car to drive home. She is a great dentist though, bless her, despite the fact that she looks like she just got out of school.
So thats it. Enjoying seeing the sunshine in winter, and daylight. In the old days there were whole week when I didn't see daylight, so I am thankful.

Fimally {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} to my friends who seem to be on downers at the moment. Mantra for the day, the only way is up :D

These are my excuses and I am sticking to them :D

I am having great difficulty getting time to write at the moment, don't think I have forgotton you all.
MIL had her bag pinched on Friday plus she had a phone call to tell her that her 89 year old mother had had a fall and broken her wrist. MIL needed to get up to Manchester and also sort out her car which had to be collected from a car park and delivered to the car dealer for new locks and EMU unit what ever that is as her car keys were nicked in her bag. So all day Saturday I was chauffeur, including taking her and FIL up to Manchester. While up there one of the brotheres rang to say he had fallen off his bike and was knocked out and thought he had broke his collar bone. Checked him out. Head ok but collarbone is probably broken. He refused to go the hospital.

So Sunday spent shopping and had a nap before the conservation group bonfire and firework party. managed to be sociable. Luckily not many turned up and I had not over catered so all was well.

Been at Uni all day today and no head spinning with pharmacological stuff. Nose still running. Thank goodness for kleenex balsam tissues, my nose may be wet but it's not sore.

I'll pop in in the week. Keep warm and well everyone :D

Full of it.

Yes, like everyone else on the planet, I have a cold. people are going off sick everywhere at work but I am not too bad, a bit dribbly and sneezy so I have continued to go in. Happily here I can't passi it on to anyone else.

Got home early today to walk the dog. Unfortunately, within a minute of stepping out the door someone let off a firework, so now the dog is cringing under the table and won't go out again.

Last night she refused to go out of the door until midnight and so i got up early to take her for a walk this morning, but she still hasn't had a piddle since then. Hope she manages to hang on.
