Another pause.

Dropping in again for a quick hello. I have looked at most posts but comments may be sadly lacking due my usual lack of time.
Good news is that C is better now and in the throes of writing an essay on conflict for his business management course.
I did my party plan thing, and sold a reasonable amount of stuff. Did well at the schools this year, now just want to do well at my own house. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and I can then relax. Ebay has been slow but I haven't been pushing it so I don't suppose I expected it to be super. It is a new year for me as until now my life revolved around working nights. Now I am having to pace differently and have already used up all my hols. The new holiday year starts in April. Happily I don't do much from January to March so I will get some rest despite the lack of hols.

Hope all are well and not too stressed about Christmas.

Pausing for breath.

This week has been pretty chaotic. I don't know if I would have coped had I still been working nights. Hubby has been ill. He has Colitus which involves a lot of toilet visits and pain in his abdomen. He was really unwell with it and he had time off, now feeling a bit better, THANK Goodness.

Been busy with business stuff this week with J's open house followed by two school fairs. We have done ok happily. The next two weeks are a bit slower but I have my first 'party plan' on Wednesday. I am really quite nervous about it and am spending today preparing for it.

Two more schools and my own open house and then the rush is off and I just have to get the Christmas shopping in. Usually by now I am sorted but this year I have not got organised.

Work has been good and I have been working pretty much alone, with back up should I need it. Sadly my old ward is to close and I am now very very glad I left when I did. We knew it was going to happen but it was expected in 2009. However there is a lot of pressure to save money at the moment and they had already shut 15 beds due to staffing shortages. (they let the staffing shortages go on for two years before they shut these beds a few months ago, makes you a bit cynical). So naturallly the next step is to shut the ward. Very sad for my mates and the fact that it will all be gone and there will be no memeory of it except with us who worked there.

Otherwise looking forward to December. Already the locals are starting off their lights, it's like Blackpool Illuminations around here at Christmas. There is a little buzz going on at work as we talk out arrangements and going out and getting presents.

I am more awake this year to appreciate it:D Keep well everyone.
