Her ame is not on the list as she wasoffered it after this press release. She has already been in casualty for quite a few episodes and some adverts.
I see at least one of the characters has the same name as the last series which would be back in 1974/1975?
'Abby'. I remember because my sister who was born in 1976 was named after that character. Abigail was quite an unusual name back then and my mum wanted to choose a name that was a bit different.

Gosh, it's a real blast from the past that isn't it? It's all coming back to me. The whole country died from a Flu Epidemic apart from a few 'survivors'. I can even picture the actors who were in it. If my memory serves me correct, the actress who played Abby went on to play Zoe Tate in Emmerdale when the Tates very first came into it. She was at Uni then training to be a vet. A few years later when Zoe came back to Emmerdale as a qualified vet she was played by the actress who carried on the part of Zoe Tate until her demise.

Yes, some of the names are the same. Some are new and up to date. My friends daughter is Robyn Addison and she is playing Sarah who is a new character for at least four episodes. Here is an old character list: http://www.survivorstvseries.com/Regular_Characters.htm

The character list was really interesting. I was totally wrong about the actress who played the character Abby later being in Emmerdale. Now I look through the list of actors in the Survivors, I don't think any of them were ever in Emmerdale. Interesting though, thanks for the link.
